Community Involvement
Every project here represents a partnership, a purpose, and the opportunity to help something important move forward.

BraveBe- Beatrice Location
"The BraveBe satellite office in Beatrice has significantly expanded access to critical services for children and families in Gage County, reducing barriers such as travel time and increasing timely support. Through this presence, more children are receiving forensic interviews, advocacy, and coordinated care in a safe, child-centered environment. This growth reflects meaningful progress in ensuring that every child has access to the resources they need to begin healing and move forward with hope."

PLANT Alliance
Gage County Foundation’s support helped the Beatrice Farmers Market continue its nearly 30-year tradition by enabling a new nonprofit, PLANT Alliance, to take over operations and stabilize leadership. Their funding covered startup, operational, and administrative costs, ensuring the market remains a vital source of local food and a community gathering place while expanding into new programs like the POP Club and nutrition education.

Wymore Country Club
The Gage County Foundation supported critical infrastructure improvements through grant funding, enhancing both the safety and long-term sustainability of the course. Funding helped install approximately 2,500 feet of new concrete cart path to prevent erosion, replace an aging pergola on the clubhouse deck, and upgrade irrigation systems with efficient HDPE water lines, a new pumphouse, and improved control valves. Additional improvements, including updates to cart shed doors, will reduce maintenance needs and extend the life of existing facilities.

CASA of Gage County
CASA of Gage County utilized grant funding from the Gage County Foundation to expand training opportunities, including Real Colors for volunteers and staff and a community-wide Bridges Out of Poverty session. The funding also supported outreach efforts through updated newsletters and brochures, helping raise awareness and strengthen community engagement. As a result, CASA has trained additional volunteers and continues to enhance its ability to provide meaningful support and resources to families in Gage County.

Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project
With the grant from the Gage County Foundation we can further our mission of educating, interpreting, and preserving our Welsh Heritage throughout North America and abroad in Wales. Contributions from grants and our worldwide membership are enabling us to complete by summer's end.

VROOM- Community Players
Thanks to funding from the Gage County Foundation, Community Players was able to host the VROOM! Mobile Sensory Theatre from the Omaha Community Playhouse and provide sensory kits at every production. These efforts created a more welcoming and inclusive experience for individuals and families with neurodivergent members, allowing more community members to enjoy the arts in a comfortable environment. The project also helped raise awareness about accessibility and inclusion within the community. Through this support, Community Players continues to strengthen its commitment to making theatre accessible to everyone in Gage County.

Bullets Shooting Stars- Adaptive Baseball League
The Gage County Foundation proudly supported Bullets Shooting Stars, an inclusive baseball league designed for youth ages 5–18 with disabilities. The program provides boys and girls of all abilities the opportunity to experience the joy, teamwork, and personal growth that comes from participating in organized sports. Each participant is paired with a Beatrice Bullets player who assists with on-field safety, encouragement, and guided play throughout the game, while also fostering acceptance and meaningful connections among all players.

Big Give Gage
The Gage County Foundation proudly supports the planning, promotion, and operational budget of Big Give Gage each year, ensuring that local nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to participate in a successful and impactful community-wide giving event. By helping provide marketing, event coordination, sponsor engagement, and community outreach, the Foundation creates a platform that encourages generosity and strengthens charitable efforts across Gage County. Big Give Gage not only raises critical funding for nonprofit projects and programs, but also increases awareness of the many organizations working every day to improve the quality of life throughout all Gage County communities.
